Question: Question about the samsung led tv?

(Posted by: Adrian R on 2010-02-22 15:19:29)

I recently just bought the new samsung led tv for my living room and my family always leaves it on. Can these tvs be left on or will they get messed up?

Well as long that you let it breath so it will not get hot it might matter also that you keep t away from any windows near the living room

You should always turn the TV off when you're not viewing it. Leaving it on all the time just wastes power, running up your electric bill (not to mention increasing your CO2 contribution). While LED/LCD TVs are not as burn-in prone as plasmas, if a high brightness, high contrast image is left on for many hours, there is still some small risk of burn-in. You'll also likely shorten the lifetime of the TV as components will age more rapidly. Turn it off.

TVs are tested and designed to stay on for long hours but in practice the longer your leave something on the shorter is the life of some components inside your equipment. Another fact is that if we leave things on st-by or on for nothing you are consuming electricity, lets do something for this planet switch thing off if not used. After all it will leave you something extra in your pocket. HOPE IT HELPED
